Hi, this looks promising, I have 4 computers including an old XP machine that used to capture just fine, but none of them do now. I know the cable and the camera work, because a Ubuntu laptop recognises the camera and Kino can cpture, although it has a permission problem too. My problem with your solution is in Windows 10, I dont have permission to change the permission. I run regedit as administrator, but when I right click on the key, select permissions and tick System Full control I get a dialog box saying that I dont have permission to change How did you get around that?

I enabled the Administrator account and the camera was detected and worked flawlessly every time. Instructions here. I am so happy after 3 days of frustration trying to get it to work. Thank you for sharing. It would seem I still have to have the 'legacy' driver installed to make it work, but at least it works with administrator enabled.
